Don Bouvette

Don Bouvette is a Canadian artist in the music industry. His attributes include singer, songwriter and guitarist. His soul as an artist is in traditional country and gospel.

Some of his favorite Canadian arists who have influenced his career are Gordon Lightfoot, Dick Damron and Ian Tyson. Amongst his all-time favorites include Buck Owen, George Jones, George Strait, Alan Jackson, Charlie Pride, Walen and Willie, Merle Haggard, Conway Twitty and Johnny Cash..

At age 12 Don started playing for dances and sang in church with other famliy members. He started recording in 1983 with Crica Records out of Calgary, Alberta. On the title track Country Rodeo where it received airplay in the top 40 charts. In 1985 Don ventured off to Nashville for the first time where Country Legend steel gitarist/ Llyod Green introduced Don to the big world of country music on music row. In 1993 Don's band Cadillac country (at the time) competed and won a recording contract and a venue at the Big Valley Jamboree in Camrose, Alberta. By 1995 Don's Music was receiving International airplay through the support of Comstock Records out of Scottsdale, Arizona. From there Don, his wife Yvonne and daughter Nadine were encouraged to set their sights down under, which led him to the outback of Austrialia.

Don decided when returning home to put his career on hold while building a business as a pipeline construction contractor in the oil and gas industry. Meanwhile his songwriting became more of a profession.

Now, in the year 2008, Don has committed his life to music and has decided to return again to music row in Nashville, Tennessee accompanied by his wife and oldest daughter Lorelei.
